Season’s Eatings: The Winter Cabins
Tucked away in a corner of Belgravia, pine trees laced with twinkling lights part to reveal five private cabins. Seating eight, these candlelit cocoons have been designed to balance the best of the season – crisp, starry nights and big, heart-warming flavours.
Think hearty oxtail soup with toasted Gruyère croûte, schnitzel and crisp rösti, accompanied by a sharing centrepiece in the form of cheese fondue with homemade bread and picked cornichons. The authentic raclette grill comes with a smorgasbord of pastrami, chestnut mushrooms, Morbier and Gouda, for ‘build your own’ alpine fare, or choose wagyu beef and truffle shavings for added indulgence.
From hot cider to rich red wines, winter warmers are the order of the day here. Speciality beers come in big bottles, served champagne style. While Valhrona hot chocolate is mixed tableside, with a good glug of rum or whisky. With bundles of blankets and heaters, each cosy cabin is a beautiful spot to raise a glass with friends and loved ones to the very best of the season.
