This season, the slopes of St. Moritz come to Belgravia, as The Garden at The Berkeley is transformed into a winter wonderland. And after a year like no other, candlelit cabins, nestled in a forest of fir, are the perfect hideaway to cosy up with hot cider and alfresco alpine fare.

Seasonal getaways may be on hold this year, but Winter at The Garden might just be the next best thing. Tucked away in a corner of Belgravia, pine trees laced with twinkling lights part to reveal five private cabins. Seating just six, these candlelit cocoons have been designed to balance the best of the season – crisp, starry nights and big, heart-warming flavours.

A festive feast

From the fondue on arrival to the molten hot chocolate brownie, dishes here are made for sharing. The sizzling centrepiece is an authentic raclette grill – accompanied by a smorgasbord of alpine flavours. Morbier, Gouda, smoked duck, artichoke and chestnut mushrooms are straight from the slopes, while Wagyu beef, native lobster tails and black winter truffle bring a luxurious Berkeley touch. Finish with flambéed baked Alaska for a taste of festive fare, with flair.

The spirit of the season

From hot cider to rich red wines, winter warmers are the order of the day here. Speciality beers come in big bottles, served champagne style. While Valhrona hot chocolate is mixed tableside, with a good glug of rum or whisky. So whether it’s to celebrate a long-awaited reunion, or simply raise a glass to brighter days ahead, Winter at The Garden is the perfect tonic to a turbulent year.
